Abstract

ABSTRACT

This study aims to develop a set of long expansion therapeutic practicum tools expected to improve the science process skill (KPS) of high school students on expansion material on metal rods. This research was conducted in SMAN 2 Bekasi class XI by comparing control class and experiment class. This study uses Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate (ADDIE) approach to analyze, design, develop, implement and evaluate the long practicative set of thermal expansion tools. The feasibility test of the thermal long expansion practicum set is not only done by experts for materials and media, but also validated by users. Results from media experts are 80.86%, from material experts 81.73% and test results on the user obtained 83.26% of teachers and 82.78% of students. To test the length of the thermal expansion tool used the n-gain test, the n-gain results in each control class and experiment were then compared to see the improvement of KPS in each class. There is an increase in the value of the experimental class KPS higher than the control class, where the value of KPS in the experimental class increases significantly. Therefore, it can be concluded that the long practical thermal expulsion set of tools is feasible to use and can improve the science process skills of high school students
