Abstract

EFFECT OF APPLICATION OF LEARNING MODEL OF GROUP INVESTIGATION ON STUDENT CREATIVE ABILITY IN LEARNING PHYSICS

ABSTRACT

The study aims to determine the improvement of students Creative Thinking Ability in Work and Energy Concepts. Subjects in this study were all students of class X MIPA 7 Senior High School which amounted to 38 people. Data obtained from test and observation sheet were analyzed by using descriptive analysis. The research methodology uses Classroom Action Research in four stages, Planning stage, Action stage, Observation stage, and Reflection stage. The results of this study show the Creative Thinking Skill of students in all four cycles are in very good category with indicator of creative thinking; (1) think smoothly with very good category, (2) think flexible with very good category, (3) genuine thinking with very good category, and (4) think detailing in very good category. Creative thinking skills scores that are highest in succession are aspects of thinking detailing, aspects of flexible thinking, aspects of original thinking and aspects of thinking smoothly. The conclusion of this research, by applying Group Investigation study model to work and energy concept of students creative thinking ability can be improved.
